  We Often Can't Anticipate What Life Might Bring This bio of Tamir and Sarah was published in the Church News February 27, 2026. It is to announce their being called as Mission Leaders in Mongolia starting the end of June.

  Malargue - Our New Home?  2/10/26 Malargue is a touristy city, with skiing in the winter, in the southwest corner of our mission. This is the visitors' center. It seems likely that we will be transfered here to support the branch in its efforts to become a ward. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and ordered hamburgers. How are they different? You will notice the fried egg on top and, if you look closely, you will see a slice of ham on the bottom. Delicious! Part of the drive home reminded us of some parts of Arizona. These are a portion of the Andes surrounded by dry climate growth, although it was a dusty day, and it is a little greener.    The mission president asked us to take a detour on the way home to pick up a sister from Peru who is heading home. On our way, we got a flat tire and I found the theft-proof lug nut impossible to loosen. I tried everything I could think of without success.   Friends from Champaign visit February 9, 2026 The Fernandezes were dear friends in Champaign and he served as bishop of one of the wards when I served as Stake President. I developed great respect for both of them as he served faithfully and she supported him cheerfully. There two youngest daughters are here with them while he does sabatical work. The parents are both originally from Argentina.
