Mary Ganbat finishes her mission to Seattle, Washington - 11/22/25 



Our oldest granddaughter, Mary Ganbat (fifth from the left in the first row), finishes her mission in Seattle, Washington today. The others in the picture are also finishing. She has faithfully written weekly reports throughout her 18-month mission. In her last report of her mission, she included the following testimony:

 "I can't begin to expressed how much Jesus Christ has been able to change my life throughout my mission. I've been changed by my experiences, my companions, the members, and the friends I’ve had the privilege to teach. A mission is hard. It truly is. But you find what true joy is. It is from sincerely living and breathing the Gospel of Jesus Christ every day, especially when you feel like you are making no difference and should just give up. And how blessed I have been to help others find this true and eternal joy. To see how the Atonement of Jesus Christ heals every one of God’s children. Every. Single. One. I invite you to find this joy in Jesus Christ. Live His Gospel. Invite others to live it as well. I promise that as you do this, you will find joy and peace that lasts for eternity."

Her promise has certainly been true in our lives.

  RETURN TO ARGENTINA November 2025 - May 2027 Welcome to our blog! It is our way of sharing our third mission experience. This time we were called to serve in the Argentina Mendoza Mission for 18 months. The most exciting part of this call was for Ned to be able to return to the area where he served his youth mission, and hopefully receive the miracle of seeing people he knew 50 years ago. This is a map of the Argentina Mendoza Mission. It is about 1 1/2 times the size of Utah, and has about 200 young and senior missionaries. The weather in Mendoza reminds us a lot of parts of Arizona. It will get warmer than 90 degrees in the summer, and cold enough to snow some years in the winter. It has many vineyards and is known for its wine making. We are pleased to serve under our Mission Leaders, Thomas and Pamela Ingersoll, from Laguna Beach, California.   Cristo Redentor, February 26,2026 On Thursday, February 26, we drove to a high point in the Andes Mountains on the border between Argentina and Chile. This is where the Cristo Redentor statue was placed many years ago as part of efforts to establish lasting peace between Chile and Argentina. Both countries' flags are on display. As you can tell by how we are dressed, it is cold at this elevation. (12,572 feet)  Also, a strong wind was blowing. We were told that the strong wind normally starts around noon and lasts through the day.   We were told that the mountain in the back ground (the peak covered by clouds) is the highest mountain in the western hemisphere. Obviously, it is hard to tell that from where we were. Down in this valley, you can see the road we traveled to the point that we started climbing the mountain.   Mary's Trip to Syracuse, New York  11/18/25 - 11/21/25 Mary with Sister Capone who she was accompanying home and Ramon. whom our  mission hires to help get mission travelers between domestic and international flights. Mary received an assignment early this week to accompany a young sister missionary home to Syracuse, New York. The sister has had health challenges that couldn't adequately be addressed in Argentina. Part of her problems were dizziness, and they felt like she needed someone to be with her in case there was a problem. Ned asked Mary to get a picture with the gentleman, Ramon,  whom our  mission hires to help get mission travelers between domestic and international flights.  He was very helpful and said he had been doing this for something like 23 years.
